SIL3 certificate for Europe

Hello,

We use TMS570LS20X/10X microcontrollers for fire alarm applications, which require SIL certificate.

Is Exida's certificate for TMS570LS20X/10X microcontrollers recognized in Europe?

    Hello Dmitrij,

    In the EU, a specific safety directive must be issued before notified bodies are nominated.  The Machinery Directive is probably the best known of these directives.  However, at present we are not aware of any EU directive which requires compliance to IEC 61508.  As a result, there are no notified bodies for IEC 61508 certification.
