Hello,

I have tried running the hetPWM demo available in HalcoGen on the TMS570LS04HDK but do not see any output at NHET8 (the default output for PWM). I have tried changing the duty cycle and the period but receive no output on my scope.

Is the following correct:

PWM is measured between the output pin, in my case NHET 8 and GND.

Are you observing this issue on all NHET pins, or just HET8? Have you taken a look at some of our example code to see if it is working on your hardware?

Paul,

Thanks for your reply. I am using the example included with Halcogen, I also have tried changing the output pin. Can you test the project in the zip file and verify it works for you?

Okay I found the problem. If you look in your "Registers" inside of CCS under "Nhet", the "Dir" register needs to be "0x00000100". You can change this manually to quickly make the PWM come out of the board. In HalCoGEn you can fix this by opening the file, going to "HET" > "Pin 8-15" > "Bit 8" and turning on the "DIR" (direction).
