Hi,

D/S describes that UART module decrease error to account for rounding errors.

Is there any other  error except for it ?

How do I think UART baudrate error in followed case?

    Hello Kyt,

    The 0.5 is added for any rounding error that arises in the fractional divisor after being multiplied by 64 when the fractional part is more than 0.5

    For the example mentioned, the Integer is 0xA and the Fractional is 54.44 before round off and 54.94 after round off. In this case the value to be programmed is 54 (decimal). Had it been 54.51 then the after round off it would 55.01 in which case the value to be programmed had to 55 (decimal)
