Ethernet client on TIVA

HI,

I am trying to implement Ethernet webclient application.I need to send http calls to a server(eg. google server)

and get response from the server via ethernet.

Can anyone guide me ,how to start with.Also suggest the sample codes from the TIVA software package which closely satisfies my purpose.

Hi, on TIVAWare folder you can find some examples of Ethernet communication.

See the forlders

..../TIVAWARE/examples/boards/xxx

xxx can be:

enetio

enet_lwip

enet_uip

folders

or thirdparty

From here to where you wish to go we cannon figure out.

Clearly, the first thing you'll need is to have Ethernet comms working - as your HTTP will rely upon that!

To do that, you will need at least a working understanding of TCP/IP networking. And a good understanding of embedded 'C' programming on the Tiva.

Roberto Romano has already pointed you to some examples.

Then you will need to implement your HTTP client.

To do that, you will need at least a working understanding of HTTP - see http://www.jmarshall.com/easy/http/

Andy forever Thank to all your post I find useful, I followed all to see for clients, it was all form Stellaris age.

A ready client is embedded on QS-weather too I forgot to list on initial post, another interesting point is on FreeRtos demo using socket in a clean way and from TIRTOS examples more skeleton are available.

Take care some threat still exist on ENET, if you are developing code from scratch.
