Hi All,

I am having one clarification, i saw in the user guide of TM4C129x kit, it is mentioned there is in-built ICDI for external target board debugging, but i am not able to find anything that i will be able to program external target board based on this kit. Is it possible to do the programming for external traget board also? Can i use TM4C129x to program TMS570LS1227 Hercules MCU, if not means which is the best programming and Debugging hardware tool for Hercules MCU. please help me with answers.

    Would not your title/subject benefit (somewhat) from some description beyond the (always clarifying), "Regarding ... rebrand Dev Kit?"  (i.e. "Can TM4C129x Kit program TMS570LS1227, Hercules MCU?")

    Title/subject ("Regarding...as now exists) is w/out redeeming value - blinds assistants from your request to program that TMS570 MCU...

    The body of your post is very well constructed/considered - one suspects the title/subject was "rushed" - did not receive that same effort - and thus may not be quickly/easily recognized by those who can best assist...

     Hi this board has bidirectional JTAG port that can be used to program processor from external programmer (this is not your case) and to program external processor (this is what you are asking for), this case programmer present itself to port as ICDI debugger still known as ICDI Stellaris, is not compatible with old version.

     To program Hercules (I don't use) is necessary to know if this programming tools is supported, simply check debugging tools options on some of your project.

    We have never tested a Hercules part with the TM4C129x built in ICDI, so would rather not comment on it,
