Hercules launchpad error

Hi everyone.

My Hercules launchpad rm42, cannot load in any code and the led for error is lighted up. Does it means it cannot be used anymore?

The error msg is

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -2131 @ 0x0)
Unable to access device register. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).
(Emulation package 5.1.450.0)

I will need more detail about your problem.

Was it possible to connect before using this board?
Is this problem happened after downloading your application?
Which version of Code Composer Studio are you using?

Can you check if you haven't put the jumper over the two jp1 pins?

Hi Jean-Marc,

The problem happen after, i suspect, i had accidentally short 9v to the HET pin. luckly, i had one spare board for now and is working. Is there anyway to use what is remain of the board, for example is to disable the error checks maybe cause only HET pin was damage, or is the whole board damage and is unusable now?

Yuan,

Based on your explanation, the device on the board is very certainly damaged. Not only the HET pin.
There is no way to re-use this board without having to change the part itself.
