thanks, that link has the two that where easy to find.  it's The Educational BoosterPack MK II that's the problem. I googled it couldn't find any in stock anywhere, looked at amazon, ebay,  newark, mouser, digikey ( the listed supplier on the link from the boosterpackdepot's web site, i  emailed them and they are out of stock and don't have any ordered) I'd really like to follow along with the workshop and not have to improvise.

I can't even find it at the TI eStore... Someone didn't think this through or didn't care about the guy at home.  I have two connected launchpads that will be here Tuesday. Can  the Sensor Hub BoosterPack  be used for a work around for the I2c lab ? https://estore.ti.com/BOOSTXL-SENSHUB-Sensor-Hub-BoosterPack-P4535.aspx   
The I2c part is the only part in need the educational boosterPack . I've done alot of i2c stuff on arduino so, i think i could figure it out. But It's could take alot more time and hair pulling.

     You, can learn about I2C with the Educational Booster Pack at a later schedule. I think a lot of people are in the same situation with you. I myself wanted to buy that Educational Boosterpack, when I was going through the workshop pdf. But, that ended in disappointment.

If I can remember correctly, the sensor hub was not discussed in detail at the lab for Tiva Connected Launchpad. But, if the sensor hub has I2C to communicate to your launchpad, I guess that will do for the purpose of learning. There is also example I2C codes at Tivaware for Tiva connected launchpad, which is located at the examples folder.

Sensor hub booster pack has  for communicating with the LaunchPad. I am using one already...

does the sensor hub boosterpack use the same pins for the light sensor? I wonder if the parts use the same library

and instructions.  but what are the chances of that?

Hello Daniel,

All the sensors on the SensorHub BoosterPack have the same I2C. The library is the same but the instructions to access every device on the boosterpack would be vendor specific. The TIVAWare 2.1.0 contains the working code examples for these sensors,

The i2c examples in TivaWare are a good place to start, but please do a search here on the forum for more i2c information if you get stuck. There's quite a bit of good information here that isn't in the TivaWare examples (yet).
