Hi,

I am running into an issue where two variables of the same value being compared in the
"IF" loop and returns "FALSE" instead of "TRUE"

Can anyone please provide me an idea where I can find out the root cause.

Please refer the *.cmd, *.map and snap shot for your reference.

Code composer studio version 5.4.01

Sanjeev,

From you snapshots I see [R7, 0x#15] does not translate to the address of variable "direction" which is 0x080012C4.

Instead some other address is read which returns a non zero value. Since I'm not able to see where R7 gets assigned in your snapshot, probably thats where you should start looking at it.

Before this "direction" variable comparison statement, I am calling one API from other project ARM_SS (you can refer the project explorer), hence R7 is holding address of that API (0x00010110).

I think when program control return back to the main function it should reset the R7 value but it is not happening.

Looks like there is an issue with your stack most likely. Pls check the same.

I copied the function parameters into the local variables then it started to work.

It indicates that issue with stack
