What do we have that can compete against the MCF51QU128? A Freescale ColdFire+ MCU that I am trying to replace at one of my customers. Thanks!

    Hi,

    Of coarse someone from TI should give an answer, I would suggest only to rephrase the question for customer: what modules does he need to use?

    Might the psychology of Sales merit consideration, too?  (often does - we find...)

    We know why you're interested - but should not your interview w/client have probed for, "client's likes/dislikes re: other MCU; identification of client perceived, "critical project needs;" satisfaction w/other's service/support; means/methods to design/develop w/new MCU; project's nearness to completion/timing; client staff's awareness/familiarity w/your MCU; and price/availability? 

    Cut/dry - blow by blow - "module comparison only" -  likely misses multiple of these key points.  Yes that comparison is needed - but the other factors must also receive due consideration - and you must use your best efforts to "detect" those client wants/needs of greatest importance and steer your pitch in that direction...  (and too often - those client wants/needs may not readily surface w/out skilled/substantial - probing/planning/effort - on your part...)
