Vinculum VNC1 programming

Hi,

I want to use the FTDI's Vinculum VNc1 controller with two USB host support. I dont know how to program these devices. Wat are the possible solutions. Also is there any firmware for USB HID and Mass storage devices available for these controllers.

I basically want to develop a device which can be connected to the microcontroller via UART and from the hyperterminal i would be able to send commands to the VNC1 such as file write, read file from usb mass storage device. Is it feasible.

yeah! The question is related to programming the ftdi controller.

Also I want to know the feasibility of the 2nd part of the question. As far as I know the controllers come with some pre compiled firmware . Which one I should use for USB mass storage device and hid devices

Hello Dhanush,

The first part would be better answered by FTDI folks!!! Unless forum members have done this with TIVA-C, in which case you may need to wait for someone to pick up the post.

The second part would be same as the first as the controller is from FTDI

Bit uncertain (but I'm told) this appeared upon FTDI forum:

"I want to program a Tiva MCU and have it do some very slight interface (maybe) w/your chip. I know (next to nothing) about these Tiva MCUs but need full & complete details - (of course) quickly!

(or maybe I was dreaming...)
