I am using a TMS570 and I can't get the JTAG to connect.
Based on the current S/W that is in the internal Flash I am not able to take control of the CPU via JTAG. I need to know if there is any way if that can happen. All other processors I ever worked with allowed the JTAG to take control of the core regardless of what S/W is loaded in it. Since we mucked with the PLL register on the TMS570, we lost the ability to communicate with it via JTAG, therefore I have no way to read or write to any internal registers using JTAG.
Is this a possible mode I can get the part into. Is the only option to remove the part and replace it with a new one?
