TIVA TM4C1294 IEEE 1588 App notes and example code

I am working with a Tiva C Series TM4C1294 device and would like to use IEEE 1588 (PTP). Are there any examples or app notes. I searched E2E and it sounds like there used to be examples in the Stellaris® Peripheral Driver Library. They are no longer there.

I also read that TI had example code called ‘enet_ptpd example’ for the Cortex M3. How can I get access to that example code.

Hi,

For the application note, I will look into my archives an I will post it if found.

As for the code, maybe it is wise to download StellarisWare package, should be there (although depends somewhat on version, could be missing in the last one) - worth the try, and you may have also some other examples to read/try.

Thanks for posting the file. It seems that it is missing sections. Is TI working on any IEEE 1588 app notes for the TIVA family?

The goal is to connect two TM4C1294 boards and sync there time. Is there example code to do this?

May be some example come in the next release when someone convert from old stellaris code sample or build from scratch..

Have there been any updates on this? It was my understanding the TM4C129 has IEEE 1588 and I need that to synchronize time.

I also need an application note and example code for IEEE 1588 PTP for Tiva family.

I am evaluating a TM4C129ENCPDT using two EK-TM4C129EXL Launchpad boards and what I want to do for an initial test / proof of concept is to have each board output a square wave. I then want to synchronize time between them using the 1588 feature and see the two square waves line up on my oscilloscope.

Another post here: e2e.ti.com/.../1857107 suggested that hardware time stamping was not working when using lwIP. I would guess that there's something missing or misconfigured in that code. It seems that numerous people are looking for a working example.
