RE: Is there a document describing the functions in sl_tpslib?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LS0332

Hi @all,

In this Moment I'm starting to work with TPS65381 an TMS570LS0332. At this point I have to decide how to manage the communication with TPS65381. Can you give me a recommandation how to go on?

I think there are three options:

1) Write everything by hand.

2) Waiting to end of July is no option for me. Is it possible to get a Beta-Version now?  Or is your TPSLIB >90% compatible with the TPSLIB from the HSK_Safety_Application that comes with the HITEX development kit? So I can use there LIB till your work is finished?

3) I found a secondary location with source code for TPS65381 communication in http://www.ti.com/tool/drv8301-ls12-kit. I had one quick look. The API looks different to the TPSLIB from HITEX?

My decission up to now was Option 3. But than I saw your Posting here. So I'm not sure what to do now?

Thanks,

Frank

  • Frank, I split the thread.  We can ask the developers for some guidance but not sure what we can say at the moment.

  • Hi,

There are considerable changes to TPS driver from what you listed in option 2 and option 3.  We can provide an Early Adaptor release if you have NDA signed with TI, please work with your locan TI’s contact to proceed further. Since we are just few weeks away from formal release, it will be difficult for us to make a broader release of TPS at this point.

    Regards,

    Venkat

  • Hi Venkat,

Thanks for your quick reply. A few weeks are too late for my Project. It's no Problem to do some changes in August for the changes in the final release of the TPS-driver. But I have to build the software for the Prototype right now. An Early-Adaptor release would be perfect. The NDA is already signed. I'm also a member of the safety closed user group. How can we arrange it in the easiest way? A simple Snapshot of the last code-version is realy enough. All other is my part. To use one of my options in the first post and than change everything to your TPS-driver is much more effort.

    Regards,

    Frank

  • Hi,

Please work with your local sales support team or field engineers from TI. They can get in touch with us so that we can provide an early adaptor release.

    regards,

    Venkat

  • Hi,
in the meantime I found a workaround. It was easier than expected to drive the TPS65381 in a state where I can go on with the main-application development. So I will neglect the TPS in this Moment. When your release will really published end of this Month it's the best trade off.

Can you please keep me up to date for the release date of the lib? Special if it's delayed?

    best regards,

    Frank
