What is Capture Compare PWM (CCP) mode?

Hello,

Iam asking about CCP mode in timers and what is the difference from the normal PWM mode??

Regards,

Badr.

  • Hi, CCP stands for Capture Compare Pin - and there is not a CCP PWM mode. Timers in Tiva have the possibility to output waveforms, as in PWM mode, or capture events for timing measurements applications, or, as for the latest 129 series, to output the state of the timer (by changing the state of a pin) at the end of a cycle - beeing set Hi, or Lo, or to toggle, and these are not simultaneously with PWM. More info in the 129 manual, see the "Timer Compare Action Mode". Petrei
