Confusing with wide timer

Dear all,

I'm using tiva TM4c123GH6PM...i tried to set 64bit

TimerConfigure(WTIMER3_BASE, TIMER_CFG_PERIODIC_UP);

suppose i will to get 0 counting up to 4294967296....but i dunno why i get from 0 counting up to 2147483648 then the [(-) appear ] -2147483648 counting down to 0....why i will get negative value?

Anyone kindly explain to me?

How did you declared the result of timer read? unsigned integer or just integer?

# Mistake on:

-A type specifier that says what type the argument data should be treated as.

i put it

"d - the argument is treated as an integer, and presented as a (signed) decimal number."

suppose should put....
"u - the argument is treated as an integer, and presented as an unsigned decimal number."
