Program does not match target endianness

Hi,

I am using CCS 5.4 and the Hercules Development kit for the TMS570 MCU.

I have created my own project and use ucos ii. The program builds, downloads and runs fine. However, after I run a debug session, if I try to run another one (with or without building first), I get an error that the target endianness does not match the device. All I have to do to fix it is to unplug / plug in the board and click debug again.

What could be causing this issue?

When you have finished your debug and before you attempt to download code again, do you see the "E" bit in the CPSR register set to 0 or 1?

Well, at least I don't have to look up which bit E is exactly to tell you it's 0 - which means the endianess has flipped.

There could be multiple reasons for this occurring. There is a thread http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/hercules/f/312/p/354304/1254514.aspx#1254514

that you can check for some thoughts. But I think the solution that's best involves upgrading to CCSv6 and using the option to apply a CPU system reset before programming.
