We would suggest upgrading to a product like http://www.ti.com/product/tms570ls0432

This has very similar peripherals and system as the TMS470MF06607 both are based on the same platform architecture. This product has an IP called AJSM that allows you to lock the debug port and prevent unauthorized read of flash. You can unlock it with a key that you burn yourself into the OTP so you'll still be able to debug but others can't snoop.
