How do I have to use Profiling with an tm4c1294xl

Hey,

I have a small problem: I want to use profiling to analyse one of c-code of a project.

I found the profiling setup in the view menu. But I don't know how to use it and I havn't still found any Information about it... Do I have to change also the advanced compiler settings??

Thanks for your help!

Regards Thomas

    Who doesn't - got 30 minutes?

Always beware when poster, client, friend or (especially) boss describes the problem as, "small!"

You admit to not knowing how to use - or configure - or fully activate - yet you feel free to characterize the problem as, "small."

Might there be a more extensive write-up re: "Profiling" w/in the IDE manual - or help area?  Or - you may investigate how other - more powerful IDEs (Keil, IAR) set-up, manage their powerful "profile" applications.  (in the hope that some of that was adopted by this (likely) uni-vendor IDE.)

Real, serious code profiling is unlikely to be "small or simple" - and often involves critical set-up & boundary decisions - all of which impact results...

  • Oh my friend cb1. you don't understand irony, right?

I'm a student and for me it's a new topic. I just asked for some support, or some specific references, not for unqualified answers!

That it won't be easy is obvious. If it would be easy I wouldn't ask.

My matter to you is: Pelease do not answer any further question of me. Thank you.

Thanks for the next qualified answers :-)

    Regards

Let's agree that's, "times 2."   Good luck - taking a tech firm public may point well to, "qualification!"
