Tiva C series processor roadmap (512kB)

Hi there,

We are currently considering the following 2 parts from TI for our next generation platform:

TM4C1290NCZADI3R, TM4C1290NCPDTI3R

Our application currently needs 256kB of RAM, but we may need more in the future and were hoping that your processor roadmap included a 512kB version in the not too distant future. We are comparing TI's offering and roadmap against those from ST and Freescale.

Can someone contact me regarding TI’s roadmap for this family of processors?

Many thanks,

Phil

  • Hi Phil,

The Tiva does have EPI so you are able to attach a external RAM. I have a STM32F4 board and it also has only 256Kb internal RAM but it uses a external RAM

  • Hi Luis,

I am aware that the Tiva has EPI, but this I am specifically looking for 512kB of *internal* memory. Other vendors have this on their roadmaps and I would like to know what TI's plans are for the Tiva product roadmap.

Hopefully this post will get some answers from TI's Tiva product managers.

    Thanks,

    Phil

  • You may want to contact the local sales office as you may get a quicker response as compared to the tech forum.  Also, for roadmaps and product specific questions Ti seems to prefer that you connect with the local sales office for the official stance on these types of questions.

  • Strongly "second" Dubnet's advice.  And - cannot hurt if you (currently) purchase 100K+ (USD) vendor product...  (that's the fastest means - we find - to get your calls {quickly/meaningfully} answered...)
