How to use the HET of tms470mf06607 as GIO?

The HET is different than other peripherals in that there is no 'mode' for GPIO.

Instead, the HET and the GIO registers simultaneously control the HET pin.  For example software can change a pin to output low but then the HET can come and change the pin to output high .. and you will see the GPIO data out register of the HET change to '1' as well.

I can't think of a reason why the GPIO register wouldn't be working for you.  How do you know it doesn't give the right value?

I use HET as an output to blink a led, should be similar for an input. 

This is off the top of my head, but:

- In Halcogen enable the het driver

- Under the HET tab make sure your pin is configured correctly

- Generate your code

Make sure to call initHet()

Then you should be able to read from whatever register you need by using hetREGX->DIN

Thank you David,I had tested,Het as Gio ,Output have no question.INput, it seems have question.Simple question complicated by TI. I will find rhe answer again, if not,wiil give up it!

As David mentioned, you can read the status of the pin from the HETDIN register. Are you reading an incorrect value from the HETDIN register versus what you are driving externally?
