Can we remove a connection between Vddc(87) and Vddc(115) on TM4C1294NCPDT ?

Hello, I am reading "System Design Guidelines for the TM4C129x Family of Tiva C Series MCUs".

I would like to remove the connection between two Vddc pins.

Will this removal of VDDC connection cause anything for the device operation?

Best regards,

  •  Hi, if the datasheet and application guides say SHOULD be then should be connected together and high cap MUST be near the recommended pin.

With a good experience on pcb routing this can be done an a dual layer so I cannot see trouble on a multilayer pcb and track where in place with additional planes too without disturbing tracks.

Wrong wild rules of track routing can result in a worst pcb also in multilayer arena.

Agree w/Roberto.  Follow instructions - your question signals your use of too few board layers - unwise.

The "external, pin to pin MCU power connection" (very likely) provides superior current flow to MCU structures which cannot always be fully/properly supported by (internal) MCU routing.  (and horror to think - sometimes such external paths result from sub-optimal, MCU internal design/routings - or unexpected current path draws - discovered late in the MCU design process - requiring external paths to rescue - in this case we do not know)

Power guidelines should always receive your fullest attention & compliance!  Violations here will cause unending nightmares - best always to comply.
