Using Tiva c series MCU's USB for displaying

Hi All,

We are using Tiva C series MCU in our application and want to display some parameters which is stored in EEPROM on PC through the USB cable which is connected to our development board(same usb is also giving power to the development board). We already tried the UART and it is working fine (modified the code of UART echo example from TI.

And one more thing is that in hyperterminal we use to select the COMP port while doing the UART echo example for display but now if we see in device manger our board is reflecting as a "Stellaris Deivce Firmware Upgrade" and not as any COMP port.

So any one please help me to resolve this and also please share the example code if any.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is the device flash erased as it will show up as DFU for an erase flash?

Hi Amit,

Sorry didn't get your reply, I am say in the Device manager it is showing as "Stellaris Deivce Firmware Upgrade" instead of COMP port.

Hello Sreeni,

Yes, that part I did understand. The issue may be that the Flash does not have a code and it is erased. In which case the device will come up on the Windows Device Manager as a DFU device. You need to load the COM Port USB Application.
