RM48 ECLK and BGA V10 pinmux configuratio

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN

Hi,

I am having a few issues with halcogen 4.0.0 on the RM48 at the moment.

These being ECLK configuration. We configure this via halcogen and generate code. This code works giving us our ECLK output. On exit and then rentry to halcogen we loose this setting and it reverts back to GIO. This means developers using halcogen are inadvertently turning off our ECLK.

Also we want to use V10 as an output for MISBSPI3NCS0 as a GIO output. Yet the pinmux configuration for this pin is grayed out and configured to GIOB2.

Anyone come across these issues?
Do I have to manually edit halcogen code to get around the V10 issue?
Have I missed some critical config within halgocogen that is necessary for the configuration of ECLK and pin V10 configuration?

Regards,

Owain

  • Owain,

I did a quick check of ECLK w. HalCoGen 4.01.00 and it does save and restore the ECLK divider settings between sessions.  But you have to save your project file and then load it when you open the session again.  Are you doing this?

If not this could also be causing your V10 issue.

  • The other thing you might confirm is whether the developers you send the .hcg / .dil files to are using the same version of HalCoGen as you are.   I think since around version 3.x there has been a requirement to read in files which were created w. an earlier version.  But it might not be the case if you are creating w. 4.0.0 and your customer is using an older version.

  • Hi Owain and Anthony,

I'm just looping myself into this thread so I see the updates.

    Dear Owain,

Please let us know the status.

    Thanks,

    Mike

  • Hi,

I have added halcogen 4.0.0 config files so hopefully somebody running halcogen4.0.0 can see if they can enable the ECLK output and that setting is preserved between leaving and reentering halcogen.

Still no feedback for the pinmux issue either.

    Owain

  • Owain,

"Also we want to use V10 as an output for MISBSPI3NCS0 as a GIO output. Yet the pinmux configuration for this pin is grayed out and configured to GIOB2."

MIBSPI3NCS0 is the default function selected for V10, so no pinmux configuration is required to output this signal on the V10 terminal. Incidentally I cannot duplicate this issue on my setup (HALCoGen version 4.01.00).
