is EEPROM all '1's until it is written to?

I.m wondering if there is a guarantee value for the TM4C EEPROM.

In other words the user plugs in a brand new device and the EEPROM hasn't been written to. Will each location read a value that can be counted on from chip to chip?

all zeros or all ones.

Hello Patrick,

EEPROM and Flash come fully erased on all fresh parts. If you are referring to the parts on EK or a DK board then they have some code in the Flash as a user demo code but even there EEPROM is all erased.

Erased means all bits in all locations are 1's.
