TM4C1290NCZAD in 1.8V peripherals environment

Hi,

In a new design I want to use the TM4C1290NCZAD. Since the application is a low power application, most of the environmetn is working at 1.8V, thus except of the VDD 3.3V to the TM4C129 all the rest are supplied with 1.8V (UARTs, GPIOs, I2C, SPIs, etc.)

Can the TM4C129 work in this kind of an environment?

Doe's the GPIOs support 1.8V inputs?

What about the UARTs?

    TM4C129 devices have a fixed 3.3V IO. The IO's cannot be made to operate at 1.8V directly for the two reasons

    1. The VIH of the TM4C129 IO's is ~2.1V which would mean that the High driven from the 1.8V device may not be recognized as a logic High

    2. The VOH from the TM4C129 IO's will be driven at 3.3V (min 2.4V) which may damage the external 1.8V devices

    The option that would be viable is using External Level Shifters with TM4C129.
