ADC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TM4C1233H6PZ, TM4C123GH6PM

Hello Amit Ashara,

TM4C1233H6PZ microcontroller provides two ADC modules with 22 shared analog input channels,

can you please tell me how  22 channels are shared between 2 ADC modules?

Do we need to feed channels 0-15 to ADC0 and ADC1 to 16-21 or all channels to any one ADC is possible??

Also give me the same INFO with respect to TM4C123GH6PM(12 CHANNELS) ??

Regards,

Mamatha M

Would not your read/review of the appropriate MCU manual quickly/easily answer your query?

Diluting Amit's valuable resource may not prove, "best utilization" of this forum - especially when requested detail is reasonably available - w/out his time/effort...

  • Hello Mamatha,

Each ADC module can convert one channel at any given time. However the sequencer can sequence the conversion of the channels. When sharing a channel, the same physical pin is connected to the two ADC module by virtue of the Sequencer. So if in ADC0SS0 you have mapped say channel 10, you can map the same in ADC1SS0 and the channel is now a shared channel.

  • Hi Amit,

When i used channel no. 16 with ADC0 it was not working fine. The problem was with my code and now it is working fine.

Thank you so much for your reply.

  • Hello Mamatha

Would appreciate if you can post what the issue was in the code. It is sometimes not evident but forum users do end up doing something similar and this would serve as a resource
