Hercules Development Kit RM48L952ZWT ORCAD format schematic

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSRM48HDK, RM48L950, RM48L952

Hi,

For the Hercules RM48L952ZWT development kit, where can we find an ORCAD formatted schematic file.  The only ORCAD file we checked from TI tool named TMDSRM48HDK was for the µC is RM48L950.  We need the file for the RM48L952ZWT. Thank you.

  • Forgive me , forgot to ask also -- since the development kit uses U29 or XC2C32A_CPG56. This CPLD and it requires custom program. Can we buy programed IC or we have to program this chip?
  • Tammy,
The development board includes an XDS100v2 emulator. The XDS100v2 is an open design, you can download the sources here: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/XDS100
The CPLD used in the design on this wiki page is a different pinout. So you would need to recompile to use the BGA pinout that you are looking at on the HDK. But the QFP pinout in this reference design might be preferable (easier to work with) anyway.

EDIT:   To your original question - the RM48L950 and RM48L952 are pinout compatible.  You can confirm this if you want and then just change the symbol name to 952.   We also have CAD symbols available http://webench.ti.com/cad/ in a vendor independent format.
