Hi,

I have connected launchpad kit TIVA1294. I'm learning ethernet. I have basic questions as follows.

- When you connect the kit to the network, how does it gets the IP address. and How can I know the IP address. I know the kit's MAC address.

- Also how to know the port number for the ethernet?

In order to recieve a frame, i have to tell router my IP address so that it can send me messages. Once I get the frames intended for me I can detect the payload. I tried to look for the tiva related ethernet documents but couldnt find more. I also looked for the examples given but they looks more complicated to just get the overview. Any simple example would be really helpful.
