TM4C123 Wake from hibernate by USB?

I'm using the TM4C1237GH6PGEI micro controller on a custom board. The board has USB, but the USB port is not connected to the WAKE pin on the hibernation module. Is there any way (excluding soldering to the WAKE pin) that I can wake the device from hibernate mode when the usb device is plugged into the microcontroller/ when the device in unplugged?

Hello Sheldon,

Yes that is possible. But be sure that the WAKE pin is connected to a mechanism which can detect the plug in/out instead of holding it low. The reason is because if you want to hibernate the device and detect an unplug event, then the same should be detected.

Hi Amit,

Does this mean that the 5V VBUS input will wake up the device from Hibernation? Or are you saying that you would still require the WAKE pin detection?

I am curious how this operate on the TM4C129 as well.

Hello Robb,

It is not possible USB to wakeup the device from Hibernate either in TM4C129 or TM4C123

Hi Amit,

So in this case, circuitry from the USB connection would need to be applied to the WAKE pin in order to enable the Hibernation wakeup.

Hello Robb,

For TM4C123 it must be to the WAKE pin. For TM4C129 there are 4 additional WAKE Capable IO's but that would require VDD3ON Mode to be used
