TM4C129XNCZAD - LCD Controller

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TM4C129XNCZAD

I am trying to figure out how to interface the TM4C129XNCZAD with a 5" capacitive touchscreen. I thought this would be easy due to the tivaware example library, but the demo board screen interface library (kentec320x240x16_ssd2119.c) is a lot more complex than I thought it would be. I have no idea how to convert/adjust it to meet the demands and specifications of another screen. I was hoping to be able to use a touchscreen from Fannal (model FN050NA-01G-L18E), but I am much more interested in choosing a screen that will allow me to get this project up and running faster as I am under tight time constraints. I looked into getting the Kentec K350QVG-V2-F  TFT display that the launchpad uses so that I don't have to configure another screen, but the screen is in way too high of demand for what I am willing to pay for it.

Is there any of you that have used a particular screen that you really liked and wouldn't mind sharing the configuration firmware to interface the screen with the TM4C129XNCZAD's LCD controller? If not, any help and/or advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated!

The specifications for the Fannal FN050NA-01G-L18E are summarized below. This first screen shot is for the LCD display and the second is for the screens touch panel controller. I would post the datasheets, but I can't figure out how to attach pdf's with this post. let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

This way I can suggest you buy and study MicroElektronica TIVA dev kit, it is slight more expensive than TI DK-TM4C129 but is a complete kit ready to use with both memory and controllerless  LCD on board.
