At starting it is working and LED blink on my board, but after 1 minute stop the LED blink and micro-controller LOCK.

again same after unlock the micro-controller through LMFLASH programmer and again download the blinky program through LMFLASH programmer it working and same Happen....... LOCK the micro-controller.

Anybody help to solve this problem.

Dharmendra

  • Teh only answer with data we read here is NO!.
    - Please provide full project of blinky and if you recompiled for correct target.
    - schematic of your board ( at almost power supply and all around processor)
    - capacitor on internal regulator is ok.
    - interface are you using.
Connect by debug and see what happen to code.
    What mean term LOCK.

At least poster did not order our response as, "Urgent!"  (urgent to whom? - always delightful)

So now - beginning, imperative posters' expect our "complete debug" of their unique (always under-detailed) HW creations!

This cannot end well - "wild west" of "No forum limitation, no enforced rules/regulations" further encourages the all too common (and preventable) "Does not Work!"

  • Hello Dharmendra,

As Roberto mentioned code-schematic-details. What I would suggest is checking if the Main Crystal is well soldered...

  • Dear Amit,

Thanks for your support, it's working now.

  • Hello Yashpal

It is working now (good), but what was the issue. It is a good forum habit to report back on the issue as others who run into the issue may find it useful

    True that!

We note (unfortunately) that far more numerous "forum habits" are ongoing posts which detail the issue solely as, "Does not Work!"

Perhaps useful to explore "HOW" that results - and "WHY" it's been allowed (for so long)  to persist...

  • Hi,
As you said the main oscillator dry solder in the card.

    Thanks and regards,
    Dharmendra
  • Hello Yashpal,

Thanks. Been hurt by the dry solder myself.

    Regards

At starting...works...LED blink...but after 1 minute stop... MCU LOCK.   Again same after unlock...via LMFLASH programmer...again download blinky...it works

These facts - presented in poster's initial writing - seem not to result from suggested, "bad joint" @ MCU's xtal circuit.  Writing above suggests that (most) times (and that might extend to ALL times) poster's board launches and runs well for some time.  In my group's experience - a bad joint @ MCU xtal circuit - would not exhibit such start-up - and then (1 minute failure) consistency.  How could it?

Far more random MCU behavior or hiccup would be the "usual result" of such, "dry xtal circuit" joint.  To so consistently start - and then fail after some (repeatable) elapsed time - seems (beyond) any "dry joint."

It's hoped that the, "desire to clear a post" does not trump vendor's "normal/customary" more thoughtful & considered analysis.  Facts in evidence here - cast most (reasonable) doubt - upon this alleged, "solution."
