Code composer code limitation with Tiva TM4C

Hi,

I experienced a maximum code size of 32kB while using a Tiva launchpad together with Code Composer Studio 6.01.

The error was solved by upgrading to the 90 days free trial.

Is it correct that I need to buy a license for code sizes bigger than 32kB together with Tiva launchpad and internal debugger.

And is there a difference if I use my own board together with my XDS200.

If I get a license I need to be sure that I really need one.

Hello Daniel,

The code size limitation is from the CCS side. If you have a bin file which is more than 32KB you can still use the LMFlashProgrammer which uses the same internal debugger to download larger programs.

You might be able to request a work-around for this - see Can't install arm compiler tools 5.2.0 with CCS

Hi Daniel,

From what I know the CCS code size limitation works if you use an emulator greater than XDSV100. So, since you are using XDSV200 the CCS code size limitation happens.
