sinusoidal pwm genaration

i am new in power electronics field. i read some articles about pwm generation, now i want to implement a sinusoidal unipolar pwm pulses by tm4c123g. how can i generate this? Is it possible by outputting a sinusoidal and triangular magnitude by outputting a lookup table value and add by any external opamp?.Is it possible through software alone?

  • Hello Archu,

Can you share the source of your input on sinusoidal PWM generation? That will bring in context to the post and further discussion.

May this lowly outsider suggest (instead) that the basics of MCU-based, PWM Generation alone - provide challenge to many, here.  Might it be best to (somewhat) honor KISS - and thus steer poster to the more basic PWM chapters w/in the (thick) MCU manual - and only after that's mastered - delve into the more complex areas of wave generation (beyond) the MCU's capabilities.

Big hopes/dreams (often) are best realized by mastering the basics - and walking before running...

  • Hello cb1,

That is the idea. Get to know the source of such "articles" before establishing connect-link...

  • Those (external) articles drive us FAR from mundane MCU issues - which are (again) FAR from complete here - are they not!

Poster's with "far off" topic should be directed to local college, trade-school - should not "begin" their search here... Biz school teaches, "Stick to your knitting!"

Likelihood of poster - unable to spell generation - does not bode well for quick/easy sine-generation.

  • Hello cb1,

    Articles like the below

flood the net to do the same. It requires external filter and "good" understanding of the PWM. You are right. The poster must spend more effort with PWM than "out-of-box" answer. Perhaps research before post

    Mais certainement - my over-worked - under-thanked, ami.

Some here care for you - do not want you over-burdened - especially by those who exhibit, "Little attention/concern for detail!"  (genaration!)

As stated - doing everything for each/every poster - may well insure that, too little is done for too many!

Should not, "Doing the most good" - for the, "Majority here" be proper forum focus?

Clearly this "Genaration" thread - this poster - fall far from that qualification...

  • It like himself, what more "genArated" from? This post I seen many times... But this one open on a very naive description.
