Controlling NCS pin of TPS65381

Hello,

I have a quesiton about controlling "NCS" pin of TPS65381,on the application includes Hercules MCU and TPS65381.

If NCS pin of TPS65381 is always held "low",TPS65381 would not response to the SPI module of Hercules ?

We "must" control NCS pin of TPS65381(drives high when not communicating , drives low when communicating) ?

I'll appriciate if someone could reply to my question.
