Interfacing Query

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430G2553

How to interface Tiva C series TM4C123G launchpad with MSP430g2553.. To make it more clear, How should i get all the generated sensor values from Tiva board to MSP430 Launchpad.

  • Hello Punitha,

A very vague question. Both devices have UART (USCII for MSP), I2C. You can build a small protocol stack (I have done that over 1/2 year back but can't share it) or use a GPIO based handshake protocol to transfer data.

Bravo Amit - duly seconded - and we're compelled to note/memorialize the (imperfect) subject/title, as well.  "Interface query" - that's crystal clear - is it not?  "Query" appears far too often here - 95% of posts are so classed - word is thus empty & devoid of meaning/power.  (our group rejects "on the spot." - but for your presence)

Of course - long suggested Template could guide such posters to a more, "tightly defined" posting - saving you from "endless" back-forth - to "tease out" the (too often missing) basics.  Oh well - some have said that we, "Reap that which we sow..."  (NO Rules, nor proper guides leads to such hallowed, "vagueness.")

Wild west - once (reasonably) tamed - lives/breathes - right here - right now...   (have fun w/this one...)

  • Thank you sir
  • Let the record show - 4 replies in - Amit's "thanked" - yet not one usable fact has revealed!

And Blake fears, "complications from (possible, yet unlikely) Template entries!"

Do not the "complications" - from such, "unguided/undirected posts" (i.e. this one) prove the "status quo" "Does not work?"  (and - despite protest - unguided, unsteered poster direction indeed appears, quite solidly, "cast in stone!")   Pity that...

  • What is your Problem actually? And what are you up to say? Do you say my question is wrong or the way i asked is wrong?

Your question - as first Amit & I have (rather clearly) noted - lacks necessary detail.

And - you attack me - when my writing rises in your defense!  You've not done this - as long - or as hard - as Amit nor my small (successful) tech group.

I've long advised this forum that far more guidance is required for posters such as yourself - to assist you - in the full/proper listing of your goal/desires.

Attack as you wish - but any fair reading reveals that I'm on (your) - and other new poster's side - and that my inputs are (most always) constructive - point to a "better way!"

  • Hello Punitha,

"Thank you" for what? My answer was equally vague. I was expecting more than that.

    Regards
    Amit
  • Beware my friend, overly-sensitive (yet under-detailed) poster may launch attack #2.

Hard for you/me/others to assist when poster, "knows it all" and reads w/the same care as they post...  (fortunately - this is "not" my job - although I have tried...)

  • Hi CB1, your usage of language sometimes is definitively too high to be grasped to who is not mother language and I fear same can be true to some native beginner too.
Sometimes is also for me difficult fully understand your writing but it is not your fault but my tuition are less than necessary and forever non native.
