TMS570 Receiving self-transmitted FlexRay frames

Hi,

I'm using the TMS570LS3137ZWT to monitor a FlexRay network as well as send frames of my own. Basically, I want to be able to receive the frames I transmit myself. I tried configuring one message buffer to transmit in a slot and another message buffer to receive from that exact same slot. I was able to receive frames transmitted by other nodes but never the ones I transmitted. reading through the documentation I see no reason why this wouldn't be possible. Am I right in assuming that?
