Hello,
We are looking to connect a 4Gbit NAND flash MT29F4G16ABADAWP to RM48L952ZWT. Can you confirm the following connections are needed?
· CLE à EMIF_ADDR[7] or one GPIO pin

Hello Sunil,
Another TI rep Anthony Seely, mentioned it can be done n the following thread: http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/hercules/f/312/t/390704.
Also, FAE from Arrow indicated it could be done as well.
Did they provide us the wrong information? or I misunderstood something?
Thanks.
Ubaid
Hello Ubaid,
I checked with Anthony again, and yes, you can interface to NAND flash via EMIF. Sorry for the confusion on my part.
A typical connection to an 8-bit NAND flash is shown below:
You can use EMIF chip-select 2, 3, or 4 for this interface. The signals shown above are:
EMIF_ADDR[12], EMIF_ADDR[11], EMIF_nCS[2], EMIF_nWE, ETMDATA[13]/EMIF_nOE, ETMDATA[23:16]/EMIF_DATA[7:0], and EMIF_nWAIT
So that still leaves ETMDATA[12:0] available for CPU trace.
Regards,
Sunil
