RM48L952ZWT RF Transceiver recommendations

Hello,

We are looking to integrate the following RF transceiver: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/39776C.pdf .  This transceiver requires an interrupt line and does not use ENA.  This is posing a conflict for us.

Are there any recommended full RF transceiver modules that are certified and can communicate over SPI or I2C?

Thanks.

Ubaid

  • Hello Ubaid,

I do not see any conflict in interfacing to this RF transceiver. It uses a simple 4-wire SPI interface. The INT line is an output from the transceiver which is used to generate an interrupt request on the host MCU. You can wire this signal to any GIOA or GIOB signal on the RM48 MCU. You can then enable interrupt generation on a falling edge (default on transceiver) or rising edge on the RM48, so that you can respond to this interrupt request from the transceiver.

Also, you can check out the RF transceiver products from TI here: http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/wireless_connectivity/zigbee/products.page

  • Thanks.

Are any of the transceiver products certified? I poked around, and didn't see anything off the back.

    Thanks.
