  • Hello Manish,

    Is this post related?

  • @ Amit,

Your "detective" skills are now (nicely) approaching your Tiva expertise.

Poster's "play" with line voltage does not bode well for health safety of his board, himself, and/or those nearby.

Even the protective "boiler-plate" (base of this forum page) may not adequately buffer/protect.

May I suggest, "Ten foot pole rule" receive strong consideration?   Nature of these (near identical) posts signal that poster has rejected normal/customary "cautions" - I'd alert local fire dept. if I knew how/where...

  • hello Amit

Sorry for late reply these post ar eco related..

And so too are smoke, fire, "Eco related!"

Line voltage - in the hands of one inadequately skilled, experienced & cautioned - should not be encouraged.  (even when multiple posts (attempt) to disguise this unwise desire.)

Some consideration should be given to matching, "ability to unrealistic desires" - especially when safety is placed in jeopardy...

  • Hello Manish,

Please define "ECO related". To me ECO is something else altogether. As cb1 well said, measuring line voltage is a risky job "even" for some experienced folks. So what you need to do is to investigate how to get line voltage "safely" to a measurable range.

  • @Amit,

Sorry - sucked you in on this one.  Poster is not a "detail guy" some way/how his proofread (missed) the typo: should have been, "are co-related."

"Eco Related" - smoke/fire was my "memorable" way to highlight the fact that danger lurks - great experience & attention to detail are required when working on/near/around high voltage.  (poster does not exhibit such attention to detail - and clearly is not "up" for such a dangerous task...)

In one of his (related yet disguised) posts use of a properly installed (by someone competent) line-voltage to safe, current-limited, low voltage AC transformer may provide a far-safer and practical "learning vehicle."

Line voltage can (and in fact does) kill - and 1000's of houses (even w/in U.S.) burn to the ground every year - due to "unskilled wiring/repair" attempts.

Skilled as launchpad designers were - doubtful that they targeted "launch" of Fire Dept. - as one of their objectives...
