ek-tm4c1294xl "unable to initialize target -0"

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EK-TM4C1294XL

I'm using TM4C123 processors for a long time without any problem. Recently, I started to use ek-tm4c1294xl launchpad. But today I have faced a problem and I can't fix it. I was trying to enable PLL, I prorammed the MCU and since, I can't program it again. LM-Flash Programmer keeps saying "unable to initialize target" or "unable to find target". I tried unlocking but it didn'y worked. I tried to program over Keil, it didn't work too. What can I do to recover it? I'm really stack

  • Hello Ugur,

Please see the unlocking sequence. It has to be followed by the book

As vendor's Amit guides - you must pay great, "attention to detail" for that unlock procedure to restore...

Beyond that - inexact understanding of JTAG, System Clock and/or PLL is the usual cause of such MCU, "Lock out."

Suspect that it's wise that you (this time) really read/review the MCU manual - and all examples which manipulate the PLL - to avoid today's (needless) repetition of, "crash/burn!"

Users "attach" to these boards via a fairly strict communication protocol - if you "spoil" JTAG, System Clock or PLL - that communication link is broken - and you arrive - rather quickly - in the land of, "Does not Work!"   Your (proper) study of MCU manual and hundreds of posts here may prevent a, "repeat visit" to, "locked-out hell."
