Is the CAN peripheral implementation of the RM48 Hercules Safety MCU compliant to ARINC 825?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN

I am using the RM48 MCU HDK (Hercules Development Kit) for rapid prototyping.

Is the CAN Transceiver on the RM48 MCU HDK compliant to ARINC 825?

Is the CAN driver generated with HALCoGen compliant to ARINC 825?

  • Pascal,

CAN transceiver SN65HVDA541 is Qualified for Automotive Applications. It meets or Exceeds the Requirements of ISO 11898-2 and ISO 11898-5 and GIFT/ICT Compliant. From my quick reading of ARINC 825 document, I think that it meets the requirement.

The CAN driver generated by HALCogen has only basic features. It is not compliant to ARINC 825.

    Thanks and regards,
