Hi,

I had CCS already installed to work with the CC3200. Now, I want to work additionally with the Tiva C Series TM4C1294 Connected LaunchPad. However, when I try to compile the examples I get this message:

**** Build Finished ****
Buildfile generation error occurred..
This project was created for a device that is not currently recognized: Cortex M.TM4C1294NCPDT. Please go to CCS App Center to install the device descriptor, or migrate the project to the closest match from the supported devices by adjusting project properties.
Build stopped..

Using the CCS App Center, I installed "TI ARM compiler" and even "ARM GCC", but I still get the same message. Can I easily add the device descriptor or should I re-install the whole CCS?

Please select Tiva C Series instead of Cortex M

Hi Amit,
exactly where should I select Tiva C Series? Cortex M.TM4C1294NCPDT is selected automatically in the properties of the project. And "Tiva Cortex M." is just the title of the post, not something that I selected.

Hello Fernando,

Does the Variant box show Tiva C Series? If not then it could be possible that the Tiva Installation for CCS is not there. You would need to install CCS this time with Tiva C Series included during installation.
