Emulator support MIPI?

Looking for some information to define the connections for support of an Emulator. The TMS570LS12x HDK schematic shows connections to TMS570LS12x pins R12, R13 as example. Meanwhile the datasheet (SPNS191A) does not list these pins and figure 2-2 shows these purple NC and there is no legend for what the various colors mean. Anybody got an idea?

  • Steve,

The terminals R12 and R13 are no-connects on the TMS570LS12x MCUs. The HDK is designed to be used across multiple ball-map compatible Hercules MCUs. The TMS570LS31x MCUs have an Embedded Trace Macrocell and the R12/R13 terminals are used for outputting ETM trace data. This is why you see connections to these terminals on the HDK.

The colors were meant to indicate that these "NC" terminals have some assigned functionality on another superset MCU of the Hercules family.

    Regards,
    Sunil
