What is the largest and fastest SD card for Hercules MCU TMS570 that will work?

    Hi Sliwinski,

    From the electrical standpoint, SD card must supports at least 3 access/data transfer modes: 4-bit-bus SD-Mode, 1-bit-bus SD-Mode, and SPI-Mode. All cards must support all three modes, except for microSD where SPI is optional. TMS570 device doesn't support SD-Mode. TMS570 device has several SPI modules which can be used to access the SD card in SPI mode. The maximum SPI clock on TMS570x is 25MHz. The largest size of SD card which can be used depends on your file system (FAT16, FAT32, exFAT).
