Hercules Chips Programmed via UART

Hello,

Doing research for a product and was hoping someone could answer a few questions about the Hercules. TMS570 Series Chips. Do these chips have the capabilities to be programmed through the UART?  Does the GUI programming code generator need to be used?

    Hi Bill,

    UART bootloader is availabe for TMS570  devices. It can be used to program your application to the MCU flash. You can use any kind of GUI which supports RS232 YModem procotol to upload/download code to/from MCU flash.
