HET-TMS570LC4357

can HET be used for timer output and GIO output at the same time? please explain.

thanks.

  • I have another question.
1.can we configure HET pins as GPIO pins????
    2. if so, i need to know this. some of the EMIF pins are multiplexed with HET pins. so can i configure those EMIF pins as GPIO using HET(multiplexing)?

pls explain me. looking forward for the answer.
  • Hi Pavithra,

Yes, you can use some HET pins as GPIO and others as functional HET pins(PWM or capture). You don't need to specially configure anything for this. As long as you're not using a particular pin for HET functionality, you can use it for GPIO. For more info, you can check the TRM (N2HET Module > N2HET Functional Description > I/O Control).

I don't understand the second question completely. If you want a physical pin (lets say pin A13) to be tied to GPIO functionality, you can mux the output buffer to N2HET1[17] (instead of EMIF_nOE) and use the A13 pin as GPIO.

    Thanks and Regards,
