My launch pad was working nicely but now CCS is not able to program it - it says Frequency Out of Range.

What could be the issue?

when I plug in the USB, the power on led lights up.

Thanks for the suggestion - however, when I tried doing it, the message appears that "Unable to connect and unlock" - if I look in device manager of my PC, I can see the TI JTAG emulator present there.

Could the device have been destroyed?

Hello Vaidyanathan,

"Destroyed".. how? That besides the point the TI JTAG emulator shows that the ICDI device is fine. Please refer to the following post

e2e.ti.com/.../374640

and follow the steps by the book. If even then it does the same, then check for VDDC=1.2V. If your application code is using the Main Crystal, use a scope to check the 16Mhz oscillations which will be indicative of device not "destroyed".
