TIVA C register configuration for UART interface

Hello,

I am working on UART configuration for TM4C123GXL Launchpad and want to configure registers for UART . As per datasheet (point 14.4) I need to start with RCGCUART register.

Can you please provide me any document which help me to configure registers in CCS v6.

You must refer to the DriverLib Guide that is a part of the TivaWare release and also example folders

Dear Amit,

Thank you for your suggestions. My application is to read inputs from UART. Suppose if I enter "r", red LED should glow.

I am facing problem in reading input from UART.

Can you suggest any particular example for the same .

Hello Anup,

You can refer to the UART echo example and modify the same with string or character compare to do the same. When reading the character "r", compare it against the ASCII value for both upper and lower case of "r" and change the LED.

Hello Amit,

Thank you for your suggestions. I have modified the hello.c example and able you use it. when I press 'g' green LED glows and display 'g' on PuTTy.

Now you can implement a compare statement in the ISR to change the LED color

My LCD is 20x4 display with parallel interface (8 data lines + 3 control ) .

Can you suggest me something to begin with .
