PRO TRACE without ETM

I'm planning to purchase XDS560v2 PRO TRACE and use it to L952 HDK and my PWB including MIPI 60 connector.

But Some PWB of mine have only ARM 20 pin connector including no ETM. I want to use XDS560v2 PRO TRACE to the PWBs with L952ZWT and ARM 20 connector.

Also, I'm going to get an adapter for MIPI 60 to ARM 20.

I want to know functional differences between MIPI 60 and ARM 20 when using Trace Analyzer in CCSv6 (or CCSv5).

I guess there are some limitation in Receiver/Transport Settings.

Shinohara-san,

If your board is designed for a 20 pin JTAG header, then getting an adapter to 60 pins will not let you use PROTRACE for trace.

You need the 32 trace data pins and control, clock lines wired to the header from the micro for protrace to work.

You'll still be able to debug the part using PROTRACE with the adapter - just not capture trace data...

I will use PROTRACE to the boards with ARM 20 pin JTAG header just as a debugger.
