TMS570 program Load error

Hello TI,

I am using CCS v6.1.0.00104 on TMS570LC43x HDK. I just wanted to check flash download, so generated code from Halcogen, created empty project in CCS and later referenced the Halcogen source files. after successful code build, while trying to download I am getting the following load errors.

CortexR5: GEL Output: Memory Map Setup for Flash @ Address 0x0CortexR5: GEL Output: Memory Map Setup for Flash @ Address 0x0 due to System Reset
CortexR5: File Loader: Memory write failed: Unknown property "FlashBlankCheckToggle"
CortexR5: GEL: File: C:\Users\din2cob\ti example\example\Debug\example.out: Load failed.
CortexR5: GEL Output: Memory Map Setup for Flash @ Address 0x0 due to System Reset

I am getting the same error with both TI XDS100v2 and USB560v2 blackhawk system trace debugger

surprising that I am getting this error on my first attempt after unpacking the kit from the box.

please help

Hi Swiftmdk,

Which version HalCoGen did you use to generate the project? I just compiled/loaded my old code to LC43x HDK without any problem. I want to do test using the same environment as yours. Thanks

Hi QJ Wang,

I also faces the same problem. And I referred that thread. After making the changes specified in that thread I got the below error.

Error:

Texas Instruments XDS100v2 USB Emulator_0/CortexR5 : Target must be connected before loading program.

Actually I do connected the target device. If I use UniFlash, I can burn my .out file to my TMS570 Controller. And After closing UniFlash, if I tried with CCS V6.1.0.00104 I cannot burn program. Even after I make the changes specified, I got that error. I have attached the snap shot of my error window for your reference.

Please guide me to make my IC programmable with CCS environment so that I can use the debugger options.
